According to recent reports from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”), more than 90 percent of individual Form I-526 visa petitions are currently based on foreign citizen investment in so-called “Regional Center” commercial enterprises.
These enterprises fall within “targeted employment areas” (as defined by regulation) and are certified by the USCIS to meet the purposes of the EB-5 pilot visa program.
