Macro market shifts as part of the energy transition are spurring investors, sponsors, and even traditional oil and gas producers to move in new directions. There is an increase in wind and solar projects being funded, with private equity demonstrating a parallel interest in renewables. Given the intermittent nature of these energy sources, developers and investors are also increasingly interested in energy storage, specifically battery technologies. In this episode of our Connected With Latham podcast series, the first in our Energy & Infrastructure series, we assemble a cross-disciplinary group of Latham partners to explore different aspects of the transition to a low-carbon economy. Lauren Anderson, a private equity partner in Houston, speaks with London project finance partner Matthew Brown, San Diego project finance partner Omar Nazif, and London project finance partner Chirag Sanghrajka.
