States are not the only ones paying close attention to these issues in the wake of the EPA’s new roadmap. Environmental advocacy group EWG recently published an update to its U.S. tap water database, which tracks alleged levels of various contaminants—including PFAS—in drinking water. The readily searchable database encourages individual users to enter their zip code to find out the types and levels of contaminants that have reportedly been identified in drinking water in their area. EWG’s database has been widely circulated by a variety of news outlets, including The Hill, Al Jazeera, and The New York Post, among others.
