On December 17, 2019, the Federal Reserve Board (“FRB”) joined the other federal financial regulators by announcing it would hold a series of “fintech innovation office hours” for member banks and Fintechs. The FRB intends for the sessions to be interactive and to include one-on-one meetings with FRB staff experts. The FRB hopes the sessions will be helpful to community banks and their potential Fintech partners. The first session is at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta on February 26, 2020. For more information on the “fintech innovation office hours” and to register, click here.

The FRB also launched a new section of its website specifically devoted to Fintech innovation. It is intended to be a central information hub for learning about and engaging with the FRB on innovation-related matters.
