General Assembly Retirement Review: Rep. Swanger and Rock

If you have been following us this summer, you know that we are taking some time out to reflect on the legislative careers of the members who will not be returning to Harrisburg in 2015. There are quite a few of them! In all, six senators and 22 members will be retiring from their legislative careers at the end of the 2012-2014 legislative session. Today, we salute Representatives RoseMarie Swanger and Todd Rock.

Rep. RoseMarie Swanger (R-Lebanon) is currently serving her fourth term as representative for the 102nd District. Prior to her election in 2006, Rep. Swanger served as Lebanon County Commissioner from 1984-2004, where she experienced the inner workings of local and state government.

As a state representative, Rep. Swanger has been considered a champion for private sector job growth and cutting property taxes. She served on the Aging & Older Adult Services, Gaming Oversight, Local Government (Subcommittee on Boroughs – Chair), Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness committees.
