January 28 is known worldwide as “Data Privacy Day” or “Data Protection Day,” and it’s a good opportunity to remind everyone of some privacy basics – particularly as people are still working remotely and threats to information and security increase. Privacy and data protection is no longer “nice to have”. It is business imperative.

Here are some resources for your Data Privacy Day:

• Learn about Apple’s new privacy “nutritional guide” requirements for developers and how it may affect your app here.
• While not directly related to Data Privacy Day, an article from today’s MediaPost discusses “Life After Cookies” and the issues presented by use of third-party vs. first-party data. This issue will take increasing importance as the California Privacy Rights Act (and similar legislation being proposed in other states) rolls into effect.
