On March 21st the House approved a stopgap spending measure by a 318-109 vote that avoids a government shut down for the next six months. Opponents of the continuing resolution (CR) said it did not offer adequate funds for the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Democrats who supported the CR say it was the best bill that could be agreed upon at the time.
