Hodgson Russ Files Petitions with the U.S. Supreme Court on the Constitutionality of New York’s Double-Tax Scheme

Earlier this week, on June 24, Hodgson Russ attorney Tim Noonan filed petitions for certiorari with the United States Supreme Court in two cases involving the double taxation of taxpayers who qualified as statutory residents of New York. The cases are titled: Samuel Edelman and Louise Edelman, Petitioners v. New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, et al. and Richard Chamberlain and Martha Crum, Petitioners v. New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, et al.
