The difficult winter and ongoing inclement weather across the U.S. has resulted in USCIS closing or delaying the opening of local offices and Application Support Centers.  If you have an appointment scheduled at a USCIS local office or at an Application Support Center, best practice would be to verify that the location you are going to is open before you go.  Information can be found at http://www.uscis.gov/about-us/uscis-office-closings
