Mali Nachum, one of Eva Longoria’s partners in the restaurant Beso in Las Vegas is seeking legal action against Beso’s move to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which she described as ‘fatally flawed’. Nachum’s contention is that Beso LLC does not have the authority to file for Chapter 11 protection.
Nachum also filed a lawsuit against Longoria for violating California usury law. According to her, in 2009 she borrowed $1 million from Longoria under a financing agreement that called for the Desperate Housewives actress to receive repayment at 8% annual interest and a large stake in the Eve nightclub. However, Nachum said she realized last year that these terms violated California state usury laws.
