As an additional update to the bulletin published on 2 February 2015, we are sending this follow up regarding additional companies participating in Mexico’s Licensing Round 1 shallow water oil and gas tender.
According to the Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos (e.g., the National Hydrocarbons Commission; “CNH”), as of Tuesday, February 17, 20151, seven (7) additional companies have procured access to the data rooms from CNH in preparation for Mexico’s Licensing Round 1 shallow water tender. According to the CNH, the following additional companies have been qualified to receive access to the Round 1 data room: Petróleo Brasileiro México, S. de R.L. de C.V.; Hess New Ventures Limited; Casa Exploration, L.P.; Galp Energia E&P B.V.; Statoil E&P México, S.A. de C.V.; LUKOIL Overseas Netherlands B.V.; and Total S.A.
The cost for accessing the data rooms is MXN $5.3 million (approximately US $355,000.00).
According to the CNH, a total of twenty-six (26) companies have requested access to the data rooms and a total of thirty-eight (38) companies have demonstrated interest in obtaining access to the data rooms for Mexico’s Licensing Round 1 shallow water tender.2
