Swift Energy Company and eight of its affiliates, together constituting an oil and gas business operating in South Texas and Central and Southeast Louisiana, have commenced cases under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code by filing a petition for relief with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.  The Honorable Mary F. Walrath will preside over the cases, and the lead case is Case No. 15-12669 (MFW).  The debtors have negotiated a restructuring support agreement, including an agreement for postpetition financing, with their senior creditors and filed a plan of reorganization.  Additional documents are available from Kurtzman Carson Consultants, LLC.
