On August 20, 2020, Ohio Governor DeWine asked the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) to provide assistance to Ohio businesses through the payment of a second $1.5 billion in 2020.

Governor DeWine urged the BWC to act now, indicating that the money can be a lifesaver for businesses. If approved, checks could arrive as soon as October 2020.

Furthering DeWine’s commitment to safety, he also requested the BWC’s Board of Directors to begin distributing a second round of masks under its “Protect Ohio’s Workforce: We’ve Got You Covered program.” Since May 2020, the BWC has already shipped 20 million face coverings to 197,000 employers across the state.
