Health care providers interested in applying for additional CARES Act Provider Relief funding from the Phase 3 General Distribution have until November 6, 2020 to submit an application to the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS).

The Phase 3 General Distribution – announced October 1, 2020 – is available to health care providers who have previously received, rejected or accepted Provider Relief Funds during prior General Distribution rounds of funding. According to HHS, this distribution is also intended to make CARES Act funds available to new providers who commenced operations in 2020 and thus may not have been eligible for prior distributions. HHS has made $20 billion available as part of Phase 3, with applicants who have not previously received Provider Relief Fund payments getting priority and with the balance to be made available as “equitable” payments to account for changes in operating revenues and expenses.

Health care providers and other interested parties can learn more on whether they are eligible, and how to apply, here.
