Texas Insurance Commissioner Sullivan has announced his resignation following a three-year tenure at the agency. Sullivan has held the post since October 2017, and intends to return to the private sector.  Texas Governor Greg Abbott will appoint Sullivan’s successor, who must be confirmed by the Texas Legislature.  The Texas Legislature meets every two years with it next session scheduled to begin in January 2021.  A copy of the press release issued by the Texas Department of Insurance can be found here.
