Although the government’s Job Retention Scheme (JRS) was initially expected to close on 31 October 2020, on 5 November 2020 the government announced that it would remain in place in some form until the end of March 2021 (the extended JRS). The government published further guidance on the extended JRS on 10 November 2020.
