U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that it has received a sufficient number of H-1B petitions to meet the congressionally-mandated 65,000 regular cap for fiscal year 2020. USCIS is now determining if it has received a sufficient number of petitions to meet the 20,000 master’s cap.  USCIS will reject and return filing fees for all cap-subject petitions that were not selected in the lottery and were not multiple filings, which are prohibited.  USCIS continues to accept H-1B petitions that are not subject to the cap.
