On March 12th, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) resumed the premium processing service for all H-1B petitions filed with USCIS. Additionally, Petitioners who received a Request for Evidence (RFE) for a pending petition, may now submit a premium processing service request with their RFE response.

When an H-1B petition is filed utilizing the premium processing service, USCIS guarantees a 15-day processing time. USCIS suspended this expedited service for Fiscal Year 2019 for H-1B CAP-subject petitions on April 2, 2018, then later expanded the temporary suspension to include certain additional H-1B petitions.  The previously announced suspension of premium processing was originally slated to last until September 10, 2018.

USCIS has indicated that premium processing for Fiscal Year 2020 H‑1B CAP-subject petitions will be addressed in a separate announcement.
