About this Event

Cyber incidents are escalating in frequency, duration, and complexity. Hardly a day goes by without a news story about a breach or a cyberattack. In this panel we will explore the current cyber and privacy landscape, the state of preparedness in mitigating threats, and we will discuss how various organizations are responding to cyber and privacy threats.

Moderator:

Chris Walker, Senior Manager, Forensic Technology (KPMG)

Chris is a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Forensic Technology Group where he works on eDiscovery, digital forensic and cyber incident response engagements. Prior to joining KPMG, Chris worked at two Canadian national law firms in various capacities including Senior Manager of Litigation Service Delivery and Manager of Litigation Support. Chris is recognized as a leading eDiscovery practitioner in Canada and has extensive experience in identifying appropriate and cost-effective solutions to case management and technology challenges. In his practice, Chris works closely with clients to develop and deploy the best combination of personnel, legal processes, project management and technology.

Albert Luk, General Counsel and Privacy Officer (Bond Brand Loyalty)

Albert Luk is General Counsel and Privacy Officer of Bond Brand Loyalty Inc. He leads Bond’s legal, regulatory compliance and risk management. He is responsible for corporate governance, corporate/commercial legal affairs, procurement and enterprise risk management.

Prior to joining Bond, Albert served as general counsel in industries as diverse as technology/gaming, digital advertising and real estate with a dual legal and operations mandate in each of those roles. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. Albert obtained his Bachelor of Arts at University of Toronto and his Juris Doctorate at Queen's University.

Kevin Lo, Managing Director of Digital Forensics & eDiscovery (Froese Forensic Partners)

Kevin Lo is the managing director at Froese Forensic Partners and focuses his practice on electronic discovery and digital forensics. He has worked extensively in fraud investigations and litigation support cases in North America and Asia, including working with law enforcements, law firms and in-house counsel.

He is a Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Computer Examiner (CCE), Certified Forensic Investigator (CFI), Project Management Professional (PMP), and EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE). He is also an active board member of the HTCIA (High Technology Crime Investigation Association) and presenter/speaker at various seminars and conferences.
