At the outset of a discrimination or harassment investigation, institutions of higher education send a notice of the investigation to the parties. What must be in the notice? What should be in the notice? Higher Ed team member Melissa Carleton will break down requirements and best practices under Titles VI, VII, and IX, as well as ADA/504, for public and private institutions. We’ll also walk through a sample notice of investigation and discuss drafting tips to better communicate with the parties while meeting obligations.

At Bricker, we strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact Kayla Entsminger at kentsminger@bricker.com
