The smoking gun isn’t a gun anymore; it’s an email, text or instant message. This interactive session will focus on strategies and best practices around email investigations illustrated with real documents obtained through U.S. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) releases.

Presenters will share stories around deciphering codewords, identifying patterns, and using AI to organize and prioritize key documents. See how tools like communication maps, histograms, and concept browsing can impact investigations.

You’ll learn about:

  • Setting projects up for success with appropriate goal setting, mind framing, and anticipating objections
  • Using data visualizations to map communication and activity patterns
  • How to use advanced analytics to organize keywords and metadata filters
  • Deciphering codewords and prioritizing emails with machine learning
