This presentation will take a detailed look at the attorney-client privilege between a trustee and its attorney, the scope of the privilege, the fiduciary exception that would allow beneficiaries to review communications and whether Texas recognizes that exception, joint-client issues, allied-litigant issues, successor trustee rights regarding the privilege, inadvertent attorney-client relationships, and the advice of counsel defense.

This course has been approved for Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit by the State Bar of Texas Committee on MCLE in the amount of 1.00 credit hours, of which 0.50 credit hours will apply to legal ethics/professional responsibility credit. CTFA credit pending.

About the Speaker
