The American Medical Association (AMA) and Manatt Health partnered to create the “National Roadmap on State-Level Efforts to End the Nation’s Drug Overdose Epidemic”—a new policy roadmap for 2021 that highlights state progress over the past year and identifies effective state-based policy solutions to combat the drug overdose epidemic. Building on our 2019 policy recommendations, the roadmap includes summaries of what states have done to combat the epidemic and where more action is needed in the coming year.

Now, in a new webinar, the AMA and Manatt bring together a panel of experts to share recent developments on one of the most crucial issues highlighted in the roadmap—the increasing oversight and enforcement of mental health and SUD parity laws, including the prospective evaluation of payer compliance. This webinar is the first in a series of 2021 programs that will provide in-depth analyses and best-practice recommendations to guide states in effectively combatting the drug overdose epidemic.
