The role of the e-discovery professional will continue to evolve and change, due to the evolution in data protection and privacy regulations and because the work undertaken is very much tied to the collection, review and access to personal information.

We’re seeing a big shift and a big focus on information governance in a new way. E-discovery professionals who may have been solely focused on e-discovery are likely seeing the scope of their duties expand into other areas including, data privacy and information governance.

It’s critical, now more than ever, that e-discovery professionals understand and are part of the information governance and data privacy workflows and are really an extension of the case teams who are handling these issues.

Exterro has teamed up with ACEDS to explore:

  • The convergence of e-discovery, data privacy and information governance
  • The importance of a robust data inventory / data mapping
  • Taking a holistic approach to Legal GRC challenges
