Most law firms look alike. They act alike. Their cultures are relatively similar. But it doesn't have to be that way. In fact, it shouldn't be that way. Consider the difference between a typical Hilton or Hyatt hotel and a Monaco or other Kimpton hotel.

One's a typical business hotel. The other has personality and style. It's quirky. They'll bring you a free goldfish to keep you company. The robes are zebra or leopard print. It has style. It's fun to be there, it's a better experience for the guests. Is your law firm?

Does your law firm have a brand identity? A culture? If not, create one. If you have one, are you using it effectively? Does it carry over to your furnishings? What would it look like if you wanted to create a Monaco-style law firm with a bit more of your unique personality? It would convey your differentiation, your positioning and culture. It would significantly aid recruiting and lateral hiring, and improve the quality of life for everyone.

But it's not done accidentally. Try it!
