Illinois Workers’ Compensation Reform Bill on House Floor

Representative John Bradley, democrat, Marion, Illinois, continued his assault on the victims of work related injuries today, Jan. 10th, 2011. Senate Bill 1066, amended 7 times by Representative Bradley just gets worse and worse for the injured worker. This bill gives complete control of the injured worker’s medical treatment to his employer and to physicians who will not even examine the worker (utilization review). Medical fee payments to doctors, hospitals, chiroprators, physical therapists and other medical providers will be cut under this bill. This bill will come up for a vote on Tuesday, January 11th. Please contact your representative and oppose this bill.
