Oregon Employment Law Developments: Meal Periods, Family Leave and Smokefree Rules

In the past few weeks, Oregon’s Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) has adopted an “undue hardship” exception for meal periods, and has sought public comments on possible amendments to the Oregon Family Leave Act. The Oregon legislature also has expanded the types of workplaces that must be smoke free.
