The Federal Election Commission (FEC) is planning to host a Regional Conference for Campaigns, Party Committees and Corporate-Labor-Trade PACs on September 7 & 8, 2011, in Minneapolis. Each year, the FEC sponsors conferences and seminars which allow commissioners and staff to conduct a variety of technical workshops on federal election law. Discussion topics often include fundraising, reporting and communications. The workshops are designed to provide information to not only those who are seeking an introduction to the basic provisions of federal election law, but also for those who are more experienced in federal campaign finance law. Registration for the September conference is not yet open, but the workshops typically fill up quickly. If you are interested in receiving additional information regarding the seminar, visit www.fec.gov and stay tuned to Inside the Minnesota Capitol for additional information.
