Senators Still Scrutinizing Immigration Reform


According to a recent article in Politico, Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Charles Schumer (D-NY) have taken steps toward re-addressing the issue of immigration reform in 2011.

Reportedly, conservative evangelicals, the AFL-CIO, the Service Employees International Union, business organizations and advocacy groups have all expressed interest in immigration reform, and a compromise deal could provide for increased border security, better employer verification of worker eligibility and a path to citizenship for immigrant workers who are already in this country.
