Law firms update their websites, or change their marketing, or create marketing plans or programs, without getting a specific answer to the most fundamental and important question -

"How is this marketing activity going to MAKE US MONEY?"

Marketing should generate revenue, and lots of it. And it can, but only if that's really the focus. If you're going to update your website, don't worry about design or layout under you've detailed the specific strategy that's going to prove that it will help you generate significant additional revenue. If someone tells you that "you can't measure marketing," then you can be guaranteed that you will achieve no noticeable improvement.
