Google DeepMind releases framework for classifying Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) models – DeepMind’s recent white paper includes a taxonomy for narrow and general AI performance levels including: Emerging, Competent, Expert, Virtuoso, and Superhuman – asserts that competent AGI has not (yet) been achieved.

Chipmaker Nvidia Posts Huge Q3 Revenue and Earnings – Nvidia has surpassed most performance expectations, posting $18.12 billion in revenue largely due to demand for its chips to facilitate the training and operation of generative AI models. But the company exhibited concern that export restrictions imposed by the U.S. Department of Commerce may slow its growth.
