A. Emergency Application -

AL2013-007-E, HH Health System — Morgan, LLC, d/b/a Decatur Morgan Hospital, Decatur, AL:

This application was filed for an Emergency Certificate of Need to relocate 130 licensed acute care beds from Hartselle Medical Center, which closed January 31, 2012, to Decatur Morgan Hospital. This application was approved under the emergency process and was presented to the Certificate of Need Review Board for ratification.

Ratified (unanimous vote).

B. Emergency Application -

AL2013-011-E, Baptist Health System, Inc. d/b/a Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Birmingham,

AL: This application was filed for an Emergency Certificate of Need to relocate six psychiatric beds from Cooper Green Hospital to Princeton Baptist’s existing inpatient psychiatric unit for use as geriatric psychiatric beds. This application was approved under the emergency process and was presented to the Certificate of Need Review Board for ratification.

Ratified (unanimous vote).

*Of note, eight additional psychiatric beds are being sold by Cooper Green and will be available statewide for any health care facility interested in purchasing.
