In a much awaited announcement, on November 8, 2018, the California Supreme Court scheduled oral argument in CalFire Local 2881, et al. v. CalPERS, et al., which is the first of the five pending vested rights cases that are currently before it.  

The argument is scheduled for Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at 9 a.m., and it is viewable through the Supreme Court’s webcast at: http://www.courts.ca.gov/35333.htm.

Per Court rules, a decision in the case is to be rendered within 90 days of the completion of oral argument.
