Canada will become the 69th member of the Hague Union related to International Registration of Industrial Designs on November 5, 2018. As a result, the creators of Industrial Designs in Canada will soon be able to file a single International Application with a single set of fees, designating any combination of up to 83 countries in which they can obtain design protection. Conversely, parties based in Hague Union members outside of Canada will be able to designate Canada in their International Design Applications.
