After just 16 months, Connecticut Department of Labor Commissioner Glenn Marshall has resigned from his post. The news of his resignation “for personal family matters” broke last Tuesday from CT News Junkie.

Other press reports contained similar details.  (See CT Mirror, Hartford Business Journal, and The Hartford Courant.)

The Governor has named Deputy Labor Commissioner Dennis Murphy as Acting Commissioner until a permanent replacement can be found.  His new welcome page is already up at the CTDOL website.

(As I’ve said before, Murphy is the spouse of one of my law firm’s partners.)
