Recently, the North Carolina Department of Labor made updates to the required Labor Law Posters based on legislative changes in Senate Bill 208/ S.L. 2021-82.

These new posters include the recent amendment to North Carolina’s Wage and Hour Act requiring:

  • Employers must provide written notice to new hires of promised wages, day and location of wage payment (if wages are delivered in person), and method of payment;
  • Employers must notify employees in writing at least one pay period prior to any changes in promised wages; and
  • Employers must send final paychecks through regular pay channels or by trackable mail if requested by the employee in writing.
