EEOC Proposes Amendment to Clarify Official Time Rule for Federal Employees Acting as Labor Representatives

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) today issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) to clarify official time provisions for federal employees who serve in an official capacity for a labor organization. This NPRM was posted by the Federal Register for public inspection today and will be published in the Federal Register on December 11, 2019.  Members of the public wishing to comment on the NPRM will have 60 days from the date of publication to do so, through www.regulations.gov.

The EEOC enforces federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination.  Further information about the EEOC is available on its public web site at www.eeoc.gov.
