Join us at Lathrop GPM's annual State of Litigation event, where we bring together business leaders, legal decision-makers, and industry experts to explore the latest trends in litigation and risk management.

As Kansas City gears up for more international attention with the 2023 NFL Draft and the 2026 World Cup, Lathrop GPM is excited to be joined by the Executive Director of the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), DeMaurice “De” Smith. De’s keynote presentation will cover the biggest issues affecting the NFLPA right now and what is on the horizon for the league.

Lathrop GPM’s Director of Diversity & Inclusion will also moderate an important panel discussion focused on the importance of diversity engagement, the benefits of having diverse representation in leadership and how to get there, as well as challenges, promising practices, and lessons learned along the way to attaining more diverse leadership.

DeMaurice Smith

DeMaurice “De” Fitzgerald Smith is the Executive Director of the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), the Labor Union for Players of the NFL, a position he has held since 2009. He also serves as the COO of NFLPA Player’s Inc, the wholly owned licensing and marketing subsidiary of the NFL Players, and as Chairman of the Board of OneTeam Partners Inc, a licensing and marketing private equity company. De has successfully negotiated two long-term Collective Bargaining Agreements with the NFL and was recently recognized by both Forbes and the Wall Street Journal for his business leadership.

CLE credit will be applied for in California, Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas, and Virginia. Credit hours for each state will be forthcoming.
