San Francisco passes green building law

The San Francisco passed a law to improve energy efficiency in large existing buildings, cut greenhouse gas emissions, make electricity cheaper, and create green jobs. The law requires large buildings to submit energy-use benchmarks to an EPA-administered website and allow annual energy-use audits. This law will include smaller commercial buildings over the next two years.
