IRS Annual Limits on Qualified Plans for 2019

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has released the 2019 cost-of-living adjustments affecting dollar limits on benefits and contributions for qualified retirement plans. The Notice providing the cost-of-living adjustments is available here. The IRS announced the Health Savings Account Limits in May 2018.

The following chart summarizes the 2019 limits for benefit plans. The 2018 limits are provided for reference. The Social Security Administration changed its cost-of-living adjustments for 2019 in October 2018. The chart also reflects the change to the taxable wage base.
