Implementation of the federal contractor vaccine mandate remains subject to a nationwide injunction issued by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. The federal government has appealed this injunction to the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. The Safer Federal Workforce Task Force has announced that federal agencies should not implement the federal contractor vaccine mandate until the federal government’s appeal is resolved. On Monday, February 7, 2022, the 11th Circuit scheduled oral arguments on the federal government’s appeal for April 8, 2022.

Accordingly, a decision on whether the federal contractor vaccine mandate will be enforceable will not occur until sometime after April 8. We will continue to update you on the status of the appeal.
