Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney has signed a bill expanding employers' notice requirements to employees concerning the federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

The bill revises the City's EITC Policy to now require that Philadelphia employers give notice of the federal EITC on an annual basis to non-resident employees who work in the City, not just employees who reside in Philadelphia. The notice must be given when employers distribute 2017 W-2s and comparable forms to employees, starting with the 2017 tax year.
