On January 1, 2020, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) will go into effect. Most companies collecting, using, sharing, or selling data regarding California residents are subject to the law, one of the toughest consumer privacy laws in the United States. Further, Nevada’s new “do not sell” law will go into effect October 1, 2019, imposing new obligations on operators of online services. This webinar will discuss how to comply with both laws and what companies can do to prepare for other new privacy laws under consideration in other states and at the federal level.
