This presentation will discuss the recent surge in class actions challenging companies’ practices for collecting, sharing, and storing consumer data, including claims arising under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, the California Invasion of Privacy Act, Video Privacy Protection Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and other privacy-related statutes. The presentation will also address emerging trends in data-breach class actions.
