The Massachusetts Department of Family and Medical Leave recently released draft regulations on paid family and medical leave. The state agency is holding a number of public listening sessions during the month of February, where it is soliciting input on the new Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave law.

Please join a panel of Jackson Lewis attorneys on March 7, 2019 for a program, scheduled to take place at the conclusion of the Agency’s information sessions in February. This timely webinar will provide insight regarding what employers need to know about the new law and the draft regulations.

Topics

  • Calculating contributions that employers must make beginning July 1, 2019 to fund the Paid Leave Trust Fund, and breaking down how employers will determine the employer share versus the employee share;
  • The formation of the new state agency that will administer the Paid Family and Medical Leave law;
  • The interplay between the Paid Family and Medical Leave Law and your company’s current leave programs; and
  • The “private plan” exemption options set forth in the regulations
