In the July edition of Mintz Levin’s Energy and Clean Tech Connections, we’ve gathered recent information from a wide variety of sources in an effort to keep you abreast of what’s new in the world of clean tech. We draw your attention to the latest industry developments, news from Capitol Hill, grant opportunities, and upcoming events.

The Energy and Clean Technology Practice Group is pleased to update you about exciting developments on the Massachusetts legislative front. On July 2nd, Governor Deval Patrick signed into law “An Act Relative to Green Communities,” a comprehensive energy reform bill that will increase energy efficiency, develop renewable fuel supplies, and boost new energy technologies. Read our alert on this topic to learn about the significance of this legislation and its potential impact on the future of clean energy in the Commonwealth. For additional information about the bill, please read “Clearing the Path to a Greener Future,” which appeared in The Boston Globe on July 21st and was authored by David O’Connor, Senior Vice President for Energy and Clean Technology at ML Strategies, and Tom Burton, Chairman of Mintz Levin’s Energy and Clean Technology Practice Group. We hope you enjoy this month’s edition of the newsletter.
