Andrews,  J.   Claim construction opinion issues regarding eleven terms from five patents.  A Markman hearing took place on August 10, 2016.

The disputed technology relates fabricating thin film transistor array. The following terms were considered:

  1. “a terminal of said [gate/drain] bus line”
  2. “operative semiconductor”
  3. “formed separately”
  4. “First backlight”/ “Second backlight”
  5. “second backlight having an oscillation wave”/ “an oscillation wave of the first backlight”
  6. “an upper and a lower frame”
  7. “stepped prortusion”
  8. “vicinity of its end”
  9. “a plurality of stepped protrusions formed in the vicinity of its end”
  10. “channel in an ohmic contact layer and a semiconductor layer”
  11. “channel”
