The California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) has updated a number of posters and pamphlets that California employers must post or distribute to employees. Employers should take note to use the most recent versions of these required documents.

All California employers are required to display the following poster, which was recently updated:  California Law Prohibits Workplace Discrimination and Harassment (PDF)

Additionally, California employers with at least five employees must display these three other posters, which were also recently updated:

All California employers must distribute to employees a recently updated sexual harassment pamphlet or fact sheet.  Further, upon hire and upon request, California employers must provide employees with a recently updated notice regarding rights of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and certain other crimes and of persons whose immediate family member is deceased as a direct result of a crime.

The DFEH offers these posters and pamphlets in a number of languages in addition to English, found here.  As California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act requires that any employer whose workforce at any facility or establishment with 10% or more of persons who speak a language other than English as their spoken language translate certain policies into every language that is spoken by at least 10% of the workforce, it is generally recommended that California employers use translating all written notices and policies into those same languages.
