At a time when we are 2 years into COVID, post George Floyd, and recognizing the added weight of being a person of color in an industry that continues to work progressively to make a difference in the recruitment, retention and external use of attorneys of color, we would like to talk about lessons learned and what the pathway forward looks like for 2022 and beyond.

This session will allow attendees to learn:

• the reality of starting and stopping the DEI journey during COVID,
• the pressures of being a person of color in a field that lacks representation from historically underrepresented groups and
• the importance of working collaboratively with (government and in-house counsel) to positively impact recruitment and retention of attorneys of color.
