The 93 offerings during 2018 represent a notable increase over 2017, when there were 61 technology and life sciences IPOs between January 1 and December 15, 2017. Most of the 2018 uptick came from life sciences IPOs, while the number of technology IPOs from 2017 to 2018 remained relatively flat.
